Dear Prospective Member:
I'm sure you would agree the automotive remarketing industry has experienced some pretty dramatic changes in recent years. With the growth of institutionally owned fleets, the responsibility of automotive remarketing professionals has emerged as a key role in the success of many organizations.
So too, the landscape in which we operate is ever changing. In recent years, we've been confronted with a myriad of Internet services, vehicle certification programs, business to retail applications, state titling issues, and an auction industry that continues to evolve. Yet, with the various challenges we individually face, there is one core responsibility we share: to achieve an optimal return on the assets we manage.
The sale of institutionally owned automotive products represents a major portion of the wholesale used-vehicle market. With the growth of our industry segment we have individually sought educational, marketing, and processing support from our vendor base and various conference groups. As remarketing professionals, we have enjoyed great benefit from these contributions.
Imagine the benefits that could potentially be ours if we pool our knowledge of this industry segment!
At the beginning of this year, I contacted many fellow remarketers to determine if enough interest exists to take the important next step of forming an association. The response to this inquiry was a resounding "Yes!" With this mandate, a core group of your industry colleagues has taken the early part of this year to build the foundation for such an organization.
It is with great excitement that we are now prepared to offer memberships in the "International Automotive Remarketers Alliance."
The IARA is intended to provide a forum to exchange ideas, experience, and information that will support our members in their common purpose. As an industry group, we will also be in a position to more effectively influence change to our business environment through a collective approach.
With this letter we have included more details supporting the vision of the International Automotive Remarketers Alliance. After reviewing this material we believe you will see the significant potential benefits from your active support.
