Bruce Jenner to Speak at IARA Roundtable Breakfast on Mar. 26

LAS VEGAS - Olympic Decathlon Gold Medalist Bruce Jenner will speak at The IARA Roundtable Welcome Breakfast at 8 a.m. on Mar. 26 at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas.

Jenner’s “Rule for Life” is exactly the same as it was in 1976 when he became the world’s greatest athlete by winning the gold medal in the Olympic Decathlon. “I love life, and I want to LIVE it! Activity, variety, the next challenge around the bend, and my eight kids keep me excited and inspired. I wouldn’t have it any other way,” he said.

In the years since his athletic achievements made him world- famous, Bruce Jenner has become a highly respected motivational speaker, sports commentator, entrepreneur, commercial spokesperson, television personality, actor, producer, and author. A devoted father and husband, Jenner is also a loyal supporter of non-profit and charitable organizations such as the Special Olympics.

Jenner’s first book, "Decathlon Challenge: Bruce Jenner’s Story," appeared on the 1977 Best Books for Young Adults list put together by the American Library Association. In 1980, he authored "Bruce Jenner’s Viewers Guide to The Olympics," a handbook to the games, which was updated for the 1984 Summer Olympics. In 1984, he completed "The Teenage Guide to Fitness."

Jenner has always had a firm commitment to youth, including the physically and mentally handicapped, and given his own battle with dyslexia, Jenner strives to further the efforts of agencies connected with learning disabilities. In 1985, Jenner was one of several prominent Americans honored by the Washington D.C. based Lab School for Learning Disabilities.
