Membership Meeting on Friday, April 12th
The next IARA membership meeting will be Friday, April 12th at 3:30 PM in the Grand C Meeting Room at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare. The agenda for the meeting is listed at the end of this issue. Note that committee reports, objectives, plans and programs for 2002 will be reviewed and presented. Non-Members are welcome to attend, so please invite anyone who represents a potential member or prospect.
Membership
We expect to reach our goal of 100 alliance members by April 12th. If you know of any company that has said they want to join or may intend to join, please contact them, confirm that they have printed out the membership application from www.iaraonline.org and have the dues payment in process. Then call or email the IARA headquarters and we will add them to the list to be presented at CAR 2002.
Board of Directors Now 15
There now are 15 members on the IARA Board of Directors. The following industry leaders were added to the most recent board meeting in Santa Monica, held in conjunction with the WAAA-MWAA Zone Conference on March 21st. The new members are: Mike Wysocki, United Road; Charlie Vogelheim, Kelley Blue Book; Bob Sullivan, ServNet AA; Pierre Pons, TPC Management; Stuart Angert, RSA; John Possumoto, Driveitaway.com; and Mel Rogulski, FirstStar Bank.
Positioning IARA as an Alliance, not an Association
IARA is an alliance of executives, companies, and associations coming together for the mutual benefit of the entire vehicle remarketing industry. This alliance seeks to merge and connect the efforts and interests of its members in order to accomplish common industry and market goals & objectives.
Next IARA Board Meeting
A Board of Directors meeting will be held at 3:30 PM Thursday, April 11th at the Hyatt Regency, prior to the reception for the Independent Auto Auction Marketing Conference, of which IARA provided alliance member panelists, facilitation, and joint development with Lynn Weaver and the NAAA staff.
